REFRESH YOUR BATHROOM
For most people, the bathroom is where they start their day.  It where they spend a few minutes preparing to face the world and later escape from it, right?  It’s an area of the home where a little luxury goes a long way- perhaps an extra-deep soaking tub, or a vanity with room for all your personal items.  I’d like to highlight a few bathrooms I’ve remodeled here and see if it might give you some ideas as you consider yours.  (See the project gallery)

OPEN UP YOUR SPACE
Removing a portion of a wall is a great way to completely transform a space and it’s usually not as complicated as you might think. Most often, it seems that people would like to open up the area surrounding their kitchen.  Short of completely removing a wall are many variations. For example, I’ve had several projects where I made a large opening in the wall and left a ‘half-wall’ where I had a countertop installed. This not only allows the two spaces to feel more connected, it adds the functionality of a serving bar or possibly a spot to pull up a bar stool.  (See the project gallery)

TILE BACKSPLASHES
A new backsplash is a great way to upgrade a kitchen with your own personal style. The types of materials that you can use is only limited by your imagination. There are hundreds of colors and finishes available and can be installed in combinations and designs to fit any kitchen or personality.  (See the project gallery)

TILE FLOORS
One of the most common uses for ceramic or stone tiles is for flooring. It’s an extremely durable surface that is much more resistant to wear and tear than other types of flooring. It’s also desirable because of the numerous sizes, colors and textures of tile that are available.  The tile and design that you choose can be completely unique to you.  (See the project gallery)

OTHER TILE PROJECTS
Tile is a versatile substance, great for all kinds of uses, including backsplashes and tile floors, but also hearths, showers, tub surrounds and countertops.  Picking out the design that fits your home and your personality is half the fun.  It’s also great knowing that your tile, installed correctly, will last decades and look great with minimal maintenance.  (See the project gallery)
