I recently had to tear out a plaster wall to combine a client’s living room and dining room in East Nashville. (See this post). I knew this would make a terrible mess and that my clients don’t want a mess in their homes as much as possible. That’s when I decided it was time to invest in a ZipWall system.
ZipWall is not a complex product. Mainly, it’s just some telescoping poles that you can install from floor to ceiling to hold plastic up and seal off an area to contain the dust and mess. I bought six poles so I could use three on either side of the wall I was removing. They went up in a snap, especially compared to my old method of using blue painter’s tape to put up plastic and seal off an area. I got mine from Amazon for around $30 per pole, including a handy carrying case to store them in.
I just thought I’d share. It’s one of those things I’m not sure how I lived without for so long… I’ll admit, I wish I had thought of it…
