WaldenMapleHillCopyPastesqThe designs and tiles you can choose for your project might make your head spin!  I always advise finding some pictures online or perhaps a single element that you really like and go from there.  Sometimes, a client goes further from that and hands me a photo and says, “Do this!”

A couple months ago I had a client talk to me that had seen one of my showers that I called the “Walden Shower”.  They liked it so much that they told me to recreate it in their bathroom!

Both of these showers feature tile from Florim called Afrika-Cairo in various sizes.  The main distinguishing feature is the large accent band that is made up of 2×2 tiles surrounding 6×6 tile installed diagonally.

SlateShower13smA couple years I had similar experience when a client showed me photos of a shower display at the Tile Shop in Greenwood and told me she wanted an exact copy.  This was a fun one with lots of interesting slate tiles.  Here’s the gallery for this one:  http://inspiredremodeling.com/projects/stunning-slate-shower/

Who says you have to be original?  Just find one you like and copy it!
